Initially announced in 2021, ‘Jee Le Zaara’ boasted a cast comprising Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt. Helmed by Farhan Akhtar, the road trip movie was slated to commence filming in 2022. Although, the film faced delays, leaving its production timeline uncertain.

In an Instagram post unveiling the film, Priyanka Chopra emphasised the significance of female-centric narratives in Hindi cinema. She said, “There are not enough Hindi movies that are female multi-starrers. This led to an impulsive phone call… to my 2 real friends about this idea that involved 3 on-screen girlfriends. A celebration of friendship we called it!!”
